Zero to Covid: DevOps in a Pandemic

Friday 6th of March 2020, 11:30am. My boss walked into my office, "David, have you got a minute to come into the conference room?".

To reduce infection control risk and improve efficiency, the East Metropolitan Health Service wanted to digitise the Covid-19 Assessment Clinics. We had 4 days to do it.

That’s how my journey as the Development Lead for the WA Health Covid-19 response began.

It went on to become a core component for managing the Covid-19 response of the Western Australian public health system.
