My dog ate my server...

I love my dog! I really hate it when he runs out of my sight but commercially available GPS trackers are just way too expensive. So I decided to take matters into my own hands and build a simple GPS tracker application that notifies me when he is too far away from me, or when he is not at home. This also gave me the opportunity to have some serious fun with serverless technologies!

In this talk, I will share my experience on how I leveraged serverless architecture to build the application using services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, AppSync, and AWS IoT.
